This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on the Examgap website (the Service). This page is used to inform users of the Service regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information if anyone decided to use our Service.

This Service is intended for use as is. If you choose to use the Service, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The personal information that we collect is used for providing and improving the Service. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this privacy policy.

The terms used in this privacy policy have the same meanings as in the Terms and Conditions, which are accessible here unless otherwise defined in this privacy policy.

Information Collection and Use

For a better experience, while using the Service, we may require you to provide certain personally identifiable information, including but not limited to username, first name, last name, email address, and school or college. The information that we request is retained on Examgap's servers and only used for the purposes of providing the Service. Examgap does not share personal information with outside parties for the purposes of marketing. Examgap may use third party analytics services for the purposes of improving the Service (more below).

Examgap uses Hotjar in order to better understand users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g., how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymised user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. For further details, please see the ‘about Hotjar section of Hotjar’s support site.
